No. To make it fair for everyone, the submission date is final and we cannot accept submissions passed our listed deadline. Keep an eye out for future editions!

The criteria for each category can be found on Film freeway or Yatha Katha International Film & Literature Festival website. Please contact us if you need further clarification or you think your project somehow fall outside of these lines.

Yes, it is an international festival, although we do require subtitles if the main language is not English.

Absolutely! You can, You will just have to create a separate project page for each film submitted along with a separate submission fee.

Unfortunately as festival we are currently unable to offer fee waivers.

No, you do not have to live in the city or in the country to submit to the festival. However, if you are submitting to our festival you will be required to attend the event if your work is selected. Someone from your team can also attend on your behalf to receive the honour in case your work won.

Admission is allowed 10 minutes prior to the start of each screening. We encourage you to come and take your seat before the screening stars to avoid inconvenience to other viewers. The theater opens 10 minutes before the movie starts.

No, strictly not allowed. No food or beverages are allowed inside the theater.

You can watch as many movies as you can, along with you can attend open forum & Masterclasses in your deligate registration.

No. There is no cancellation or transfer available in deligate registration.

Yes, you can do the deligate registraion at venue. There is a registration desk at venue. You need to carry a valid photo Id along with your complete information to register yourself.

Opening & Closing Ceremonies are strictly with pass entry.

It’s quite a task, let me tell you. Thankfully we have a dedicated global team. Each submissions is passed through our three round judging phase, to ensure that nothing gets missed and each film is given a fair shot.

The Festival format does not allow submissions as programming. Featured speakers and guests are pre-determined by the Festival Core Committee.

Yes, you have to register as deligate to attend the festival.

The Delegate access card will give you an experience of the Festival. Meet people like yourself from around the world. A deligate card that enables entry to the Festival Hub- various intellectual session venues is on a first-come basis and you can watch as many as film screeings during the festival after showing to that deligate card. A Festival tote bag with the Festival Brochure and Programme will also be given at the time of registration.

No, we are unable to provide any accommodation or travel expenses. Participants have to make their own arrangements. We can help you to find the decent reasonable options for the same.

Yes, pre-festival registration and collection of badges will take place before a day when festival starts. For dates and venue please regular check our website and social media platforms.

Yes, press registrations are for media persons officially representing print, broadcast and electronic media. Press personnel can choose to become Delegates if they are not covering the Festival. Anyone can register as a Delegate.

The dates of the Yatha Katha International Film & Literature Festival are 25-28 November 2021.

The schedule will be posted on our website. The schedule will be released closer to the time of the Festival. A list of attending speakers is released sooner. Do keep checking the website for regular updates. Please note that the programme is subject to change.

Yes, there are food stalls at the Festival Hub serving a variety of cuisines and beverages for anyone wishing to purchase a snack/meal.

The registration process will need to be redone and a fee of INR 500 will be charged for replacing the tag.

The minimum age to register as a Festival Delegate is 14 years.

Everyone (including children) is required to carry a valid photo identification of themselves (photocopies will be accepted), their registration code or a printed copy of their registration. Absence of any required documents may result in refusal of entry.

    Yatha Katha International Film & Literature Festival is a celebration of cinema & literature under one roof to bridge the gap between two beautiful related art forms and to re-engage the world with the mesmerising world of stories & their presentation.

    Our long term goal is to be a torch in raising awareness regarding the importance of both the arts in a challenging world climate and create an environment that facilitates in-depth discussions and share the insights about the legendary art forms and give the best presentation to the world.

    Sourrounded with the thoughts of eternal stories and the culture of story telling around the world, the idea of Yatha Katha International Film & Literature Festival grew up slowly and then after a long research and planning, it is ready with its very first season.

    Founded by a group of creative professionals and proven to be the first international cinema and literature festival together, Yatha Katha International Film & Literature Festival is an extremely important and independent showcase, inspired by the fruitful interaction of
    arts – cinema and literature, in particular.

    Cinema & Literature a complement of each other have been sharing an intimate connection ever since the invention of the silver screen. YKIFLF is the perfect occasion to draw a parallel between these two deeply interconnected art forms and keep inspiring their audiences to an endless imaginary world.

    YKIFLF is not only a festival but it is also a place to discuss cinema and literature under one deck wherein there will be screenings of competing films, book launches, award ceremony along with a number of educational events, like literary presentations, various panel discussions, open forums and master classes etc. The festival maintains long-lasting partnerships with all individuals, companies and cultural institutes in India and abroad.
