An award-winning filmmaker (writer/director) and media professional, Charru Sharma is breaking barriers by bringing to light great, successful and inspirational stories of real-life heroes into public domain. Cinema always fascinated her and that urge took her into the world of cinema. She has also initiated a path-breaking venture — a tastefully designed, an international film & literature festival to re-engage the world with the mesmerizing world of stories and their digital presentation.

The idea for YathaKatha International Film & Literature Festival came from Charru’s personal observation and understanding of reviewing the challenges and difficulties of common people for not being able to reach out to their targeted audience for their content. Combining cinema & literature together under one roof with a thought to overcome the pressure of great stories and engage the young generation in the beautiful yet most important artforms.

Today, YKIFLF is considered to be one of India’s finest film and literature festival and growing towards connecting and empowering people to start building their cinematic journey by making it as easy as possible to find a community.
